Ingredients:
25% fish oil (Jecoris oleum) in a suitable liposoluble medium.
Characteristics and effects:
Fish oil is obtained from the livers of North Sea fish and is a rich source of vitamins A and D and essential fatty acids.
Vitamin A deficiency leads to dryness of the skin, an unnatural white-grey colour and hyperkeratotic changes. This is most pronounced on the extremities because there skin is dry due to the normally smaller number of sebaceous and sweat glands.
Excess vitamin A manifests as dry, wrinkled and sensitive skin. It repairs damaged cells through tissue regeneration, accelerating mitosis and proliferation of epidermal cells. Prevents the formation of old-age keratoses and seborrheic warts.
The presence of vitamin D in this cream helps in the treatment of psoriasis, and also serves to protect vitamin A from oxidation.
Instructions for use:
In addition to the above conditions, it is used for dry, rough and cracked skin (any part of the body), as well as for superficial injuries and burns (usually from the sun).
Apply the ointment on the damaged skin several times a day.
Safety precautions:
