DIETETIC SUPPLEMENT – oral solution
Characteristics and effects: The syrup contains standardized extracts of senna and buckthorn whose active components are known for their laxative effect. They stimulate Auerbach’s plexus by increasing peristalsis and secretion, increasing stool mass, softening it and inhibiting water resorption. The active substances are mostly resorbed in the small intestine. Part of the absorbed preparation is excreted in the urine, and part through the large intestine, where it is hydrolyzed and has a laxative effect. The laxative effect occurs between 6 and 10 hours after use.
It is used for acute and chronic constipation, problems with hemorrhoids, and to empty the bowel before radiological examinations.

Instructions for use: For these conditions, take 1 dessert spoon (15 ml) of undiluted syrup once a day before bedtime.
To prepare for radiological imaging, drink a whole bottle of undiluted syrup in 1 hour with plenty of fluids, 24 hours before the examination. This applies to adults with an average body weight between 60 and 80 kg and those not covered by the conditions listed in the warning. Consult your physician. Use together with other measures prescribed for proper bowel emptying, such as diet, drinking plenty of fluids, using suppositories etc., according to the preparation instructions.
Ingredients: Aqueous-ethanol extract of alder buckthorn root (Frangula alnus) 4-6:1, with min. 17-20% glucofrangulin A, senna leaf (Cassia angustifolia) 4-6:1, with min. 6% senoside B and anise oil (Pimpinela anisum). Other ingredients: distilled water, sugar, sodium benzoate.

Slight turbidity and sediment that can sometimes be seen on the wall and bottom of the bottle are not harmful and do not affect the properties of the product. Does not contain artificial sweeteners or colours.
Warning: The syrup should not be used by anyone who is hypersensitive to any ingredient.
Not intended for pregnant women, nursing mothers or children under 18 years of age.
Caution is required in people with diabetes due to the sugar content, obstruction of various etiologies, inflammatory diseases of the colon mucosa or severe electrolyte and water imbalance.
Milder gastrointestinal problems are possible. Consult your physician.
Use for 2 weeks then take a break.
